2021 Festival Archive

Our inaugural Festival in September 2021 saw some of the UK’s most talented young musicians converge on this beautiful corner of rural Devon for three days of musical events curated by local-born Artistic Director Freddie Crowley. The musical offering included chamber music, solo song, education workshops, community participation events, and choral performances by Ensemble-in-Residence the Corvus Consort.

A musical workshop with local school children, focussed on promoting values of teamwork and collectivity through group singing, led by Festival Director Freddie Crowley and members of the Corvus Consort. As part of the workshop, the children learnt ‘When We’re a Team’, a brand new song by our 2021 Composer-in-Residence Harry Baker, and prepared a short performance for the Festival’s opening concert.
